Judges have a critical role to play in preserving our Republic. The 2016 Presidential election was important because many believed the new President should appoint a Supreme Court Judge that would follow the original intentions of our Founding Fathers. Justice Scalia and Justice Gorsuch are both described as “originalists” or “strict constitutionalists”. They correctly rejected the concept that our Constitution was a “living” document, subject to change at the whim of the court. As your next Common Pleas Judge, I intend to be such a conservative jurist.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR VOTE ON November 5, 2024!
This is not an easy fight. It takes time, money, and real effort to make change. We need your help to win this election. I'm not a politician. I am a mother, grandmother, experienced prosecutor and attorney for 27 years, and a proud defender of freedoms.
Get to Know Sarah
My name is Sarah Thomas Kovoor and I am your constitutional conservative candidate for Trumbull County Common Pleas Court judge.

For the past 27 years I have practiced law in Northeast Ohio to serve and support the people of this community as a prosecutor and as defense counsel. My career includes work in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. I have litigated cases in many areas of the law and such as first and second amendment law, constitutional law, civil rights, criminal and domestic relations law all over the State of Ohio and in other states as well.

I fight for my clients; I pursue truth and defend their liberties and Constitutional rights. In my intended role as Judge, I will apply the same level of understanding and care for the people and the issues brought before our court and I will uphold the Constitution, as our Founding Fathers intended.

The justice system has a great impact in the lives of those it serves. We must have qualified, independent judges on the bench who are fair and impartial, without prejudice or favoritism, and free from political influence.

It is my firm belief that fair and impartial administration of justice is essential to the health of our legal system and our community.

So, I am stepping up to serve my community and to apply my diverse experience with both civil and criminal law to create and maintain a system of fairness and justice. I will ensure that our local courts and judicial system live up to the high expectations people place on them.

It is an awesome responsibility to serve on the bench in this community, and I am honored to have the opportunity to seek your vote.
